New Compositon “Birds of Prey”

Stan KillianBlog, Tour, Upcoming Shows

Here’s a reminder about a few gigs for all of my friends in San Antonio, TX

Tonight at the The Cove 9-11:30 pm.

My performance on air at 11:30 a.m KRTU 91.7 F.M. San Antonio

And my feature performance, The San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Fest Concert, Saturday afternoon, my quartet with Bruce Saunders guitar, Mike Porter bass, and Kyle Thompson drums, 4-5:30 P.M in Crockett Park.

Here’s another tune I demoed last month, an original tune called “Birds of Prey”.  A tribute to those who took Bird’s language and made it their own- the great modern masters of the tenor saxophone: Joe, Wayne and Trane, this recording features featuring Lee Tomboulian; piano, Curtis Ostle; bass, and Diego Ramirez; drums.
