Dear Friends,
I’m pleased to report that my Santa Fe debut was a success! I had an amazing time playing my tunes with pianist John Rangel and bassist Asher Barreras. Two world class musicians that really understood how to get inside the music. Santa Fe is definitely on the map for me and I will certainly be coming back to perform in this beautiful city often. The gig was at a venue called GiG, a great performance space run by Bruce Dunlap, an amazing guitarist and jazz artist. Check out these photos below:
Now I’m back in NYC, Summer is still in full swing, and I’m happy to be playing at the 55 Bar with some great players this Tuesday, August 9. Here are the cats:
Benito Gonzalez, keys; Ugonna Okegwo, bass; Colin Stranahan, drums
The 55 Bar is located at 55 Christopher St New York, NY 10014
I play the early set, 7 to 9:15 p.m. and there’s no cover charge!
And a quick preview of next month, Tuesday Sept 13, I’ll be joined by these great players:
Perry Smith, guitar; Joseph Lepore, bass; Colin Stranahan, drums
On Friday, September 16, I’m preforming in Denver, Colorado for a late night performance at Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club:
Jeff Jenkins, piano and Mark Diamond, bass.
Stay tuned for news regarding the upcoming recording of my long awaited next album and also a special performance in Mexico in November at the San Miguel de Allende Jazz Festival.
I look forward to playing and seeing you all there!
Cheers,
Stan Killian
